The mission of the Oregon Beef Council is to “Promote the image and viability of Oregon beef producers and the beef industry.”

 To carry out its mission, the Oregon Beef Council will consider funding projects conducted by outside organizations if the project falls within state and federal guidelines for beef checkoff funding, and helps achieve the goals and objectives set by the Oregon Beef Council.

Proposals must be submitted on the OBC Authorization Request Form and will be considered by Oregon Beef Council using the following procedures:

Proposals must be submitted by April 30th, 2012 in order to be included for consideration at our annual fiscal year budget planning.  The budget meeting is held in late May or early June.

The Oregon Beef Council’s fiscal year runs July 1st through June 30th.

Organizations will be notified by July 1st as to if their funding was approved or not.

Funding proposals may be accepted at other times during the year at the OBC board’s discretion.
